Digitron treats machine vision as an engineering discipline that supports production accuracy and traceability. Drawing on experience from our reference applications, we develop inspection and verification solutions that examine fine product details. Inspection targets, acceptance criteria and production conditions are assessed together.

Our QR and barcode applications combine code reading with verification against the expected product or record. We design systems to distinguish conforming and nonconforming products using defined criteria for presence, positioning, assembly and visual defects.

For precise inspection of moving products on conveyors, we plan image acquisition timing, lighting, optics and processing time together. We work with different camera types and applications requiring high frame rates, selecting cameras, lenses and lighting according to product speed, size and the detail to be detected.

We develop application-specific CMOS-based imaging systems using our own designs and can arrange their manufacture abroad. Imaging hardware, optics and software are assessed together against application requirements.

Our imaging capabilities also include working with short-wave infrared (SWIR), mid-wave infrared (MWIR), long-wave infrared (LWIR) and forward-looking infrared (FLIR) systems used in defense applications. For long-range and high-megapixel camera applications, we address optics and image processing according to target size, distance and environmental conditions.
